With our roots going back to 1951, Qatar Trading and Agency Office is a third-generation family-run business group operating across multiple industries.
Since our debut as a local grocery store, we have evolved and expanded our business activities to cope with the growth and development of the market. Today we are a multidisciplinary business group with FMCG, Beauty & Fitness, F&B, Business services, marketing, and events management.
We rely on a deep understanding of the Qatari market and strategic business partnerships to grow and diversify horizontally and vertically.

Ahmed Reda Abu Yousef
The Founder
1951
A staple among the community
Ahmed Reda Abu Yousef founded a local grocery store in 1951, catering to a growing need for imported foods and household items.
The business flourished and became the distributor of many American, English, French, and Italian brands, making it one of the first trading companies in Qatar.
1972
A strategic leap forward
Responding to the growing business and changes in local and global markets, Ahmed founded “Qatar Trading and Agency Office” to be a trading company independent from the grocery store.
Responding to the growing managerial duties, Ahmed involved his two sons, Reda and Sami Abu Youssef, and handed over the management ultimately and retired.
1989
A new era of growth
The second generation’s management capitalized on this reputation and market position to grow the business and secure new distribution deals with international companies such as Le Groupe Bel, Panzani S.A.S, Lesieur S.A.S., among many others.
2019
A legacy of the future
Ahmed has been involved in the group’s business for the past 15 years as he was leading the expansion into beauty and fitness and business services through local and international partnerships.
